60000 visit natas travel fair

Close to 60,000 people visited the three-day annual Natas Travel Fair, increasing sales of holiday packages by 20 per cent compared to last year. Packages to Japan and Korea were most popular, and are more affordable thanks to a stronger Singapore dollar.

The demand for travel bookings for year-end school holidays and the Lunar New Year season has resulted in some Singaporeans facing difficulties in securing airline seats and hotel accommodation in choice holiday spots. Many tour operators have asked airlines to free up to 20 per cent more seats for travellers during these periods.
