Central Vietnam hot spot for foreign tourists
Tourist venues in Vietnam’s central city Da Nang, ancient capital Hue and heritage town Hoi An have become among the top travel places in the country for foreign tourists this year.
In the first three months of 2007, a total of seven international cruise ships have called on Da Nang’s Tien Sa port, carrying 3,100 tourists, according to the city’s travel department. The agency revealed three more cruise ships with over 1,000 people are scheduled to moor at the Da Nang port later this month.
Several days before, sightseeing spots in Danang were flooded with tourists from Thailand, Hong Kong, and France who traveled to the city by land. The other port Chan May in the neighboring province of Thua Thien Hue is also proving to be a hot spot for foreign tourists.
According to SaigonTourist company, Vietnam’s tourism authority has extended great efforts, initiated upgrades, and improved its services to meet international standards.
