Travel students sit for top exam

THIRTY-FIVE students of the Baisan Institute of Hospitality Management appeared for the International Air Transport Association (Iata) International Travel and Tourism Examination, at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Manama.

Staff of various airlines and travel agents were among the candidates who sat the examination, which included Bahrainis and expatriates.

The examination was conducted by the Iata local co-ordinator at two levels - foundation and consultant.

Successful students will receive their certificates and lapel pins from Iata, Canada.

The certification is held in high esteem by travel professionals worldwide and has become a benchmark for entry into the airline travel business.
